The main menu of the application will display a feed with publications of users you are subscribed to. At the top, there is a panel that displays user stories – short videos of up to fifteen seconds. You can add your own story by clicking on your icon in the panel. You can select any photo or video from the gallery on your device, edit it by applying filters and post it. The story will be stored in the feed for twenty-four hours, after which it will disappear. The app integrates the ability to share messages, photos and videos with individual users. You can call users via video link, create group video and audio calls for multiple people and much more.

Instagram has a feature to add additional accounts. To do this, you need to click on your profile button in the bottom right corner and hold it down until a modal window opens at the bottom of the screen. Notifications on different accounts come to the same device.

The application has a low threshold of entry due to its simple and clear interface. This allows users to spend less time on mastering the application and start using it faster. The utility has a smart feed of publications that is compiled and updated based on your preferences. The display of publications is affected by all your actions – what you view, like, save and more.

The program has a problem with sending notifications to devices. Message notifications may not arrive for hours at a time. The application has privacy and security issues because it collects your personal data and sells it to third parties to provide you with advertisements or products that you may be interested in. Instagram sometimes has glitches that cause the program to start working incorrectly – it shows you the wrong feed of publications, doesn’t let you view user stories, and more.
