The application menu consists of four major categories, which are divided into subcategories. The first category “Games” contains mobile video games, which are available for download, or for pre-registration. The second category “Applications” displays utilities. In the “Movies” category, you can buy a movie rental and watch it. And in the “Books” category, you can purchase an e-book, but you’ll need to download an additional Google Play Books app to read it.
The platform allows independent developers to upload their own apps to the store so that other users can download it. To do this, you need to once purchase a special account status called “developer account” for twenty-five dollars. By logging into your personal account, you will be able to upload a compiled apk file, icons of various formats for the future app and edit the displayed description and name of the app.
