The plot of the game is that one of the workers you will play as receives a videotape in the mail from the employees of Playtime Corporation, who disappeared ten years ago. The worker returns to the abandoned factory, which belongs to this company, to solve the mystery of the disappearance of his former colleagues and find out who sent him this letter.
During the game you will walk around an abandoned factory and explore its departments. In parallel, you will be able to find colorful cassettes. Inserting them into the player, the video will tell you more about the game’s plot and will gradually bring you up to speed. After solving the first puzzle, you will find a special device that you will need in the future to drag objects from a great distance, open special doors and much more. The device is called GrabPack – a special backpack that has two arms (only one at first), which can be extended to a great distance.
In addition to solving puzzles, you will have to run away from the company’s mascot – Huggy Wuggy. It is a three-meter humanoid creature of blue color, which will try to kill you. All sounds are qualitatively worked out in the game. When interacting with objects, they are played in time and without delays. But when playing videotapes, there is no distancing effect. When you move away from the TV the sound is played evenly.
Poppy Playtime Chapter 1 has a low entry threshold due to its simple and well-designed interface. Convenient location of all buttons and panels allows users to quickly start playing and not to understand the controls for a long time. The horror is easy to play, because all the riddles and puzzles in it are simple and each user can easily solve them. And hiding from the main monster of the game will not be difficult.
The game puts a high load on the RAM and processor of the mobile device. Because of this, users with weak devices will not be able to immerse themselves in the gameplay smoothly, as they will experience high frame loss per second.
