ePSXe

ePSXe is a paid application for Android mobile devices designed to emulate Play Station 1. With this application you can play all the games designed to run on the Play Station 1 game console.

Thanks to the diligent and hard work of the development team, ninety-nine percent of the original game console’s games are available to you. From the Final Fantasy and Tomb Raider series to Tekken and Castlevania. Plus, you can run the BIOS system of the original console in the app. This app supports GameShark cheat codes. They can be downloaded online, installed and after restarting the app you can activate them during the game in the quick menu. In the settings of the application you can change various parameters. For example, screen aspect ratio and orientation (landscape, portrait), color depth, frame rate display, video renderer and more.

On the plus side, it is worth noting that this application supports ninety-nine percent of all games of the original Play Station 1. Also, the presented application has a high-quality soundtrack, which supports various sound effects. For example, reverberation, frequency modulation and others. In addition, the audio engine supports sound modules such as CDDA, PCM and others. The application has low system requirements, both minimum and recommended. This ensures smooth operation of the application on weak mobile devices. The application has functions of saving and using cheat codes, as well as the ability to play cooperatively over a local network.

From the minuses it is worth noting the poor graphics (can be improved by installing the appropriate plugin), which was present in all Play Station 1 games. Graphics can be improved with a special free plugin ePSXe openGL Plugin. But some games will glitch and run slower because of this. Also to the disadvantages should be attributed to the fact that the emulator itself does not contain a single game, and you need to download them yourself.
